One such role he played was the recurring character of President Gin Kew Yun Chun Yew Nee in a Korean drama parody “Tae Do (Attitudes and Feelings, Both Desirable and Sometimes Secretive)”. This recurring character he portrayed, alongside the American actor and comedian Bobby Lee, happened to be very narcissistic.

Another notable television role he played was that of an FBI Agent named Tae Kim in the crime series, “Gang Related (May-August 2014).” Kang had previously worked with the creator of the show Chris Morgan in the Fast & Furious franchise. The role of the FBI Agent played was specifically written for Kang by Morgan.
