How Did Andrew Tate Become Rich?
Andrew Tate (full name Emory Andrew Tate III) was born on December 1, 1986, to Emory Andrew Tate Jr. – an American international master of chess – and a British mother, whose name we don’t know. After living for 4 years in Washington DC, his family moved to London, UK.
Tate has developed good fighting skills from childhood, and he entered the professional kickboxing stage at a very young age: on April 25, 2009 he won his first title International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) English Light after beating in the 5th round Paul Randle in Derby, England. Before the final round he managed to defeat former super cruiserweight British champions Mo Karbo and Ollie Green. Andrew won the first tournament at the age of 22.
That same year he won the IKF British Cruiserweight title beating Daniel Hughes in the first round and knocking him out.
Two years later matured Andrew Tate he fought his first international match against Jean-Luc Benoit in Paris on March 19, 2011. After 12 rounds of fight, the judges gave victory to the Frenchman. However, 3 months later they had a rematch and this time Andrew won over his opponent knocking him out in the 8th round and taking the first international title.
Since then, Andrew Tate has become a worldwide celebrity and his checks substantially increased. In 2011 he qualified for the Enfusion 3: Trial of the Gladiators tournament for 85 kg (187 lb.) kickboxers defeating two of his opponents – Sammy Masa and Adnan Omeragić – by KO in the send and first round respectively. In the semi-final he was fighting against Ritchie Hocking and knocked him in the first round, but lost the final to Franci Grajš, a Slovenian kickboxer.
On March 12, 2013 Tate won his second ISKA title defeating Vincent Petitjean by split decision. Later, he once again tested his skills in the 4-man 2013 Enfusion World tournament for 85 kg kickboxers. His opponents were Mirko Cingel, Jiří Žák, and Rustam Guseinov. The tournament was held in Žilina, Slovakia and Tate had lost by points in the semi-final to Miroslav Cingel, the future tournament winner and local kickboxing star.
In 2013 Andrew Tate has also qualified for the 2014 Enfusion World Tournament in 90kg category and this time fortune smiled on him: he knocked out Wendell Roche in the second round becoming one of just two fighters who managed to defeat the kickboxing veteran by TKO. As Tate recorded later, “I will remember June 28 (the day when he was fighting Wendell Roche) forever.”
After getting so much desired Enfusion title, Andrew’s focus started to shift toward business ventures. He still continued to fightthough – for example, in 2015 he defeated Liang Ling in K-1 China vs. USA event. However, the next year he lost his Enfusion title to Ibrahim El Boustati via first-round TKO.
Overall, he managed to win three ISKA titles and one Enfusion belt, and 4 international titles in total:
- 2009: ISKA English Full-Contact Light Cruiserweight Champion
- 2009: IKF British Cruiserweight Champion, 84.5 kg
- 2011: ISKA World Full-Contact Light Heavyweight Champion, 81.5 kg
- 2013: ISKA World Full-Contact Light Cruiserweight Champion, 84.6 kg (Defended)
- 2014: Enfusion World Champion, 90 kg
That was a time when Andrew decided to take a break and shifted his focus to growing his Internet persona and business. He started two YouTube channels – TATE CONFIDENTIAL (now around 300k subscribers) and TateSpeech (over 400k) to post vlogs, motivational speeches and stories. He also got himself Instagram page (2 million followers) and TikTok.
From 2016 to 2019 Andrew Tate appeared on a few shows. He took part in the seventeenth season of British Big Brother television show, The Official Podcast $46 talk show in 2017, and Redbar episode #18.17 in 2019.
Having made millions from his kickboxing career, Andrew Tate had a substantial sum of money to start a business. He set his eyes on the casino industry and opened a few casinos in Romania.
However, in 2020 he gloriously returned to the kickboxing stage, winning over Miralem Ahmeti. Andrew secured his victory in a first round at KO Masters 7 event that happened on February 10th. It is speculated, that KO Masters is a Romanian company established in 2018, and Andrew Tate has also some stakes in it as he has been living in that country for some time now.
From 2020 onwards, Andrew Tate loves to make comments about other streamers, singers and famous people in general. Since December 2020 he continuously mocks Jake Paul and his girlfriend, as the latter refused to fight him for 3 million USD. In 2022 Tate cracked jokes about Will Smith and advised the actor to leave his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. He also commented on Rihanna’s abilities to play instruments and accused her of bad singing skills.
These and many other brawls didn’t go unnoticed by many magazines, Twitch streamers (like XQC), and other public figures – the popularity of Andrew Tate has increased dramatically over the last few years.
